Report from the show by Carole Kemp
Mau !!!!! What a great show !!!!
I had not been to this show before so armed with my camera, note pad and cat (a birman I might add) I trotted off to Alcester to the venue. It was a lovely sunny day so there was no dragging a big coat brolly and carrier cover with me.
Once I was at the venue a cheerful show manager Sean greeted me followed by a just as cheerful vet. Into the hall and what a lovely sight to see. Nicely placed pens with goodies in for exhibitors.
I placed my cat in his decorated pen and then went round to meet the friendly exhibitors and their lovely cats. I did learn something today – I didn’t know there was a Smoke Egyptian Mau – they were fabulous!!!
Breakfast time next – a very delicious bacon roll and a just as nice cup of tea (the tea was free curtsey of the management (thank you it was much appreciated).
After 12.30 we were allowed back in the show hall the exhibitors had seen the results as the board had been placed outside the hall near the refreshments which was a great idea.
The whole day was finished off with a lovely Best In Show judged by Anne Gregory, Pam Reid and Linda Ashmore.

Thanks to the whole show team for a super day. I will be back next year with a cat for you on exhibition (subject to clashing shows). If I am unable to bring a cat I shall certainly visit. It was one of the best days out that I had had for a long time.
End of report
